The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy

Now here's a film that should be worth watching, featuring Tim from The Office - http://www.hitchhikermovie.co.uk

I'm not sure whether you will have heard of it in america but it was a popular radio show, tv series and book several years ago.
Well I bet that you look good on the dancefloor
Dancing to electro-pop like a robot from 1984

the only way you couldn't have heard of it is if you've been living in a cave.. on another planet.

These are among my favorite books ever, so count me in for the movie. The radio show and the BBC TV series are also great.

http://planetmagrathea.com/longreview1.html *spoiler warning, but not if you read the books*

Written by a Douglas Adams biographer who has been following his career for 20 something years. He says the movie is awful. I guess that's what you'd expect from Hollywood nowadays, with things turning out like "I, Robot" and such.

I think the only big book -> movie conversion that get close to the original form was the LotR trilogy.

people often don't like movies made out of books simpily because books can be a much better medium, and adapting them to film doesn't normally work very well

Well, I hope the movie is good, but until then, QUOTES TIME!

Arthur: It's times like this where I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me.

Ford: What did she tell you?

Arthur: I don't know, I wasn't listening!
