So I got my first REAL board and bindings
#1
After having a POS plastic board and bindings that wouldn't let me go down the hill on the 2nd day of riding I decided to get a real board for christmas. The guys at the shop helped me pick out a board and bindings, I ended up getting a Burton Cruzer and I believe Burton Freestyle bindings(not too sure). My friend said the board is sick because how cheap it is and how fast it rides.
Is this a pretty decent 1st board?

Cruzer is cap construction, so I'm not sure how well it will be for progression into the intermediate / advanced levels. Beginner wise it is suitable, but if you are progressing very fast you may find it obsolete in a few months time. I would have suggested the Burton Clash as a good beginner board, as I have seen my friends purchase it and improve alot with it. The Clash is pretty inexpensive too .. maybe like a hundred and a bit more than the Cruzer?

Anyways, the board is okay for the beginner level and novice .. but if you are at intermediate you may wish to purchase something with sidewall (sandwich) construction.
