Best dedicated powder board?
Dan Gerous Wrote:The best powder board but the worst board everywhere else is the 2008 Lib Tech Trice Banana Hammock. See the fifth board of the top row and check the board on the right in that picture. It's made exclusively for powder with a negative camber and convex sidecut. When you see it, it looks more like a small surfboard and you ride it like one too.

Awesome! Reminds me of some of the crazy powder skis (like the spatula) with reverse camber. Bet that's a lot of fun (as long as it NEVER touches hard pack).

GimmeSnow - the fish is great but you definitely want to save it for the powder. Burton says 4 inches, but I'd bump that up more to 10. If you ride trees a lot or don't mind doing a bit of hiking, you can ride it on other days besides the big powder dumps.

Be careful on these things! A few days after starting this thread, I took my new fish off a 20 foot cliff wrong (wrong as in head first) and ended my season with 4 broken bones. Of course, if it wasn't a powder day with a soft landing, I'd probably have been a LOT worse off.
