Atlantic Coast Conference but in the entire nation
Freshman Cole Anthony was the highlight of the UNC Basketball 2019
recruiting class and he’s been praised all Summer long for his play
The 2018 19 college basketball season didn’t end the way the North
Carolina Tar Heels had hoped it would, bowing out in the Sweet 16 to a
red hot Auburn team. With five of their top six scorers gone from a year
ago , UNC will now reload with a very talented freshman class plus the addition of two graduate transfers.
The highlight of that freshman class is five star point guard Cole
Anthony, a Top 3 player from the 2019 class that picked the Tar Heels
over Oregon back in April.
Anthony is considered one of the best all around players in the 2020
class, with the ability to score from all over the floor. The addition
of Anthony should make UNC fans feel a lot better about trying to
replace the scoring production from the five players that either
graduated or left for the NBA.
While we are still a few months away from the start of the season,
we have heard nothing but good things about Anthony’s Summer with UNC.
The latest comes from Rivals recruiting analyst Eric Bossi.
Over the weekend , Bossi touched on Anthony’s Summer and where he has made some improvements
I’ve heard his jump shot is improving ,
that he’s added good strength and that he’s focused on making the right
play and making others around him better while doing his usual thing as
an off the dribble scorer. Replacing Coby White isn’t going to be easy Vince Carter Jersey, but Anthony sounds up to the challenge.
Anthony has the chance to not only be one of the top freshman in the
Atlantic Coast Conference but in the entire nation as well. If he lives
up to the hype and is a star, UNC has a legit chance at making a deep
run next season.
He’s expected to be a one and done player so his stay in Chapel Hill
will be a short one but for now, UNC fans should start appreciating his
game already.
